Employee Background Checks
Effective hiring practices are critical to the success of your business. Verification of applicant/employee data is crucial when making your hiring decisions. A poor decision can have expensive consequences for your company. Theft, fraud, liability claims, absenteeism, and turnover strain both morale and profitability. Failure to conduct a background inquiry could also subject your company to future liability. Blue 22, LLC. provides comprehensive background checks that will assist you in making informed decisions. We gather information from a wide variety of public records and proprietary sources. Our research specialists will customize a report according to your particular needs.
Employment related searches are conducted according to the Fair Credit Reporting Act. The FCRA has several requirements and the complete act can be found by searching this title. In order to conduct the employee related background inquiry we must have a Customer Certification signed by an authorized representative of your company. This one-time signed form confirms you will act in accordance with the Act. The Customer Certification and other forms are listed on this page to simplify this process.
The applicant/employee must sign the Disclosure Release that matches the specific reason for the inquiry. (The various Releases can be found on this page.) The release must be a stand-alone document that identifies our agency as the consumer reporting agency. We recommend that our customer verify and complete all identifying information on the form as bad or incorrect information will produce inaccurate results. After you complete the release have the subject sign the release and give them a copy. Send the release to us via fax or our encrypted email to begin the inquiry.
A social security number assists in determining venues to research. The middle initial, DOB, race and sex are generally required for the criminal conviction search. A drivers license is needed for the driving history report. The background report is generally completed within 48 hours of receipt. The types of searches provided and the pricing of the searches can be found at https://pichicago.com/employment-screening-pricing.
The employee/applicant is entitled to a copy of the background report. If adverse information is found or an adverse decision will be made based on the report, the subject should be given the proper adverse letter and A Summary of Your Rights. All of these documents or forms are listed on this page.
